Plastic Surgeries

Labioplasty

Labioplasty is a repair of torn, stretched or naturally asymmetrical labia.
Many women request labial reconstruction: the main reason is to get an improvement in appearance. Almost as common reasons are soreness or pain during sexual activities including intercourse or functional problems such as considerable discomfort and irritation during activities like riding a bicycle, walking or jogging. There are no age limitations to undergo the operation. Some patients request labial rejuvenation despite not having children.

During the operation surgeon removes excess labial tissue, precisely adapts the deep skin layers and using absorbable suture materials restore normal appearance. Absorption of suture material is a matter of about three weeks, stitches are not removed. Anesthesia: General

Patient Status: Inpatient 1 day

Hymenoplasty

A hymen is a thin mucosal membrane securing vaginal entrance in women not having vaginal intercourse yet. It is possible to reconstruct this membrane surgically. The best results are obtained when the operation is done soon after the defloration (perforation, tearing off of a hymen). Using a scalpel surgeon circumcises the vaginal entrance and then adapts the mucosa so the original hymenal ring restores its shape. Special absorbable non irritating suture materials are used for a sensitive mucosa of this area.

Patient Status:
Inpatient 1-2 days

Perineoplasty

Perineoplasty (surgical corrections of perineum) are requested mostly by women with acquired
deformities of the external genitalia. During delivery, tearing and stretching of the genitalia may occur resulting in an abnormal or unattractive appearance. Sometimes a poorly healed episiotomia can considerably distort the vaginal entrance. Another group of patients requesting this kind of operation are older women with naturally diminished elasticity of vulvar and perineal tissues resulting in an effusion of a vaginal entrance. All these patients can experience functional problems including considerable discomfort during sexual activities or exercising; sometimes recurring infections of vaginal or urethral mucosas. The goal of operations is to remove excess or deeply scared tissue and restore normal appearace and functionality of perineum. Anesthesia: General

Patient Status:
Inpatient 2-3 days

TIME SCHEDULE, AFTER PROCEDURE CONDITION
The consultations before operations are done by a gynecologist specialized in the area of genital cosmetic surgery. During the consultations there are discussed expectations of the patient, tactics and limitations of the operation. Surgical correction depends on accurate diagnosis of the problem. After evaluation the surgeon can give an assessment of the type of surgery needed. The paramount is always the best cosmetic and functional effect along with minimalization of surgical risks.

In order to provide patients with comfortable hygienic conditions, surgeries are planned to be done just after the end of menstrual bleeding. Patients using combined oral contraceptive pills have usually freedom to postpone the withdrawal bleeding and can be operated any time. Genital plastic surgeries are done year round.
The healing process after the operation is usually uncomplicated assuming patient adheres to the recommendations and keeps a high hygienic standard.

The healing lasts typically five to ten days depending on type of operation; patients are dismissed second or third day after the operation. They are provided with highly efficient analgetics (pills, i.m.shots or rectal suppositories) supported by the application of ice to the operation field to block excessive swelling of operated tissues.
